Just brought the above off my mate, but apparently you have to wire it direct to the battery? Is this True?
Surely the orig wire loom will be good enough. or is the gauge of wire too thin for the amps going thru

Yes you will have to hook it up direct on the battery.
Use at least 6 mm^2.

Been in the car for 4 months and i like to turn up the volume.
No problems with it so far.

If you are running it just using the preouts then you wont have a problem as you can turn off the internal amp.

If you want to use it to its potential and run from internal amp and pre outs you will need seperate wiring.
