JimmySTI i have the same head unit in MY03 and it sounds very good with component front speakers, a good starting point. Just need to sort out the rears and an Amp now!

Just a question: have you tried the ergonomics for yourself?
That's one of the most important things about a head unit IMHO, check that you can use it on the move .
Never tried that unit, but before buying one I'd make sure I knew how it worked

As I've just said on a different thread - I got a 9812RB - sound is superb.
I don't think the menus etc are the most straightforward, and I find the brightness (even dimmed) to be too bright at night.

got the 9807
cheaper but well smart
still 3 preouts but only is 4v for the sub
ideal 4 me digital amp(900w) and 2x12" inch 1000w subs
