i know it says for US spec impreza but its exactly the same, we use it all the time.

Question

How would u fit it, was going for dvd\screen in dash, pocket in second din, av unit under passenger seat and nav unit under drivers seat? (didnt fancy both units in place in the dash in case someone sees them and tries to rip them out! (i thought they screwed in nowdays to stop that sort of thing happening?)

any thoughts?

(oh and x box connectors in the boot for easy connection)

just bought the 7300DVD (7" widescreen + DVD) + AV master kit (radio + other inputs), 12 disk boot changer and AVIC-9-dvd II (navi system) for £1650 all in + fitting, dont think that was too bad?
The avic900dvd has touch screen option but how much is the system?

What model av headunit/screen has touch screen?

AVH-P7500 / 6500DVD AV headunits

theyu are the dogs preverbials my friend. Was speaking to someone at Auto Audio and they said they were by far and away the best units they had ever used. They were launched 8 days ago.

Here is a link to the american one, but i saw the UK interface and it looks 20 times better than this one.

just ordererd the 6500DVD to go with the nav - 3 remotes was OTT...

Total Cost £1860+vat for the lot including the navi that plays dvd's so i now have 2 dvd players in the car!

For the extra money i couldnt resist the touch screen and the voice commands for the radio/cd + mp3 playback!

only 1 week to wait!

mr. manchester has alerted me to how much the prices have dropped, and it is quite upsetting but c'est la vie!

anyone want to take advantaged of an idiot who has to have the latest thing?

try here.

The unit requires a master control box which is about £400 separately for the one I have, but that is still int he car. I will be selling that at a later date, when I get regular access to the car to remove it.

I am looking for £700 for this item and it literally is identical to that which would be on the shelf of a store. I think I have only ever opened it to look at it once!!!

from a dealer i was quoted £868+VAT for the 6500DVD

200+BHP:
Multiregion : Techtronics.com possibly as they do the 7300dvd upgrade.

ADAM M:
You shouldnt need the av master anymore and the connections are different! my new navi avic-9dvd-II wont fit with the 7300dvd unless you buy an adapter so if you have an older model navi it may not fit the 6500dvd. Also the touch screen doesnt operate the navigation unless you have the avic-8dvd-II, avic-9dvd-II or the new 800 and 900 series. Also you need the latest mapping disk for the 8/9 models to enable touch screen function, mine is 10 days old and i need the new mapping disk when i get the screen at a cost of £160+VAT!!!!!
As for the 7300dvd i think £700 (only £990 new) may be ott as for a grand you can get the 6500dvd that has everythig included to just fit it and go(only my opinion) i am selling the 7300dvd, avmaster7000 + 12 disk boot changer for £600...

Question

Looking at a Pioneer or Kenwood flip screen and dvd nav unit soon.
Is there a FAQ on installing a sat/nav system anywhere on the net?
Don't fancy paying some bod hundreds of ££'s to fit it if I can do it myself.
