Question

Got some 6x9's sitting here, will they fit in the std shelf (94wrx) without modifying it?.
Had a look at the shelf, there is std size speakers in there and there is a metal bracket you can take out to make the hole bigger for larger speakers I guess.

Anyone fittied 6x9's straight in?

Alot of people have from underneath.
No cutting required - might need a spacer though which younshould be able to make/buy.

Cheers

Mark

I have 6x9s in now. The spacer thing works, however, I just drilled the shelf (only 4 small holes per speaker that are hidden by the shelf cover completely.

Plus you can leave the original grills on to not draw attention.
