The sound quality of the stereo from the new MY03WRX is very poor. Has anyone changed their front speakers and has this made a difference? or do you need to change head unit as well?
If so which ones have you gone for.

I have an STI7 and recently changed both. I put the Infinity 605cs in the front doors (You need to make 12mm MDF spacers, easy with jigsaw) and I put an Alpine MP3 head unit in (You need the loom converter £10) and now it sounds sweeeeet 
You can buy either a black CD tray for the lower DIN hole if you change the head unit or there is a silver one with a flip down door which should look better in the STI8

Forgot to mention, when you change the front door speakers, make sure you use DYNAMAT (I think thats the name) on the doors under the clear plastic sheet. Buy it in halfords 12.99 for two sheets to do both doors. It sounds much better with this done.

lucky_golf, £120 is the normal price, they are doing 20% all last years ICE in my local Halfords and the last one was marked up at £99. The salesman was so excited about my car he got carried away and sold them to me for £69
