Its too expensive at the moment...

Once it comes down to a reasonable price then I will go for it cause I could use better reception and also want to be able to get more stations to listen to.

Also got to improve the coverage because at the moment it is very limited.

Its a good idea, in the very early stages of development, once it catches on then it will be a sucess, IMHO!!

Cheers,
Grant

Edit to correct my extremely poor spelling!

Had Dab for a couple of years now, much improved reception when you can get it, slowly getting more and more diverse channels broadcasting.

At the moment it's a great toy, but of little real use, however as the coverage becomes less sporadic, it will get progressively more useful.

Only real downside - at least on the Pioneer system I have - is the lack of a surface mount antenna for the UK, means drilling extra holes in the car.

Antenna - drilling a hole is bad.

It's available for my kenwood unit for 300 quid. If it was 150, I'd have it.

Hmm, DAB receivers for PC or USB are less than 100 quid.

Cunning Plan for my in-car PC?

....is there enough stuff on DAB to warrant running a DAB tuner as an AUX source, or, would you only consider it if it was integrated with your HU?

Only trouble with an aux source is that then I'd have nowhere to plug in the Denison mp3 player I'm hopefully ordering on payday...

I have a Blaupunkt Woodstock.

DAB and MP3 - a nice bit of kit IMHO.

Digital radio lardypants. The fact that your pioneer has it written on the front only means that it can control a dab unit. You still hae to buy a seperate decoder etc...
