I followed Chiark's door card removal exactly. Fitted the speaker and just re-fitted the door card. BUT, the window seems to be about an inch lower now. How can I put it back to the correct height?
When I shut the door it moves to the correct position again but when it's open, it drops.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

This isn't anything to do with the speaker fitment. Somehow your window mechanism has dropped... God only knows why. Check for errant cables and, providing everything looks clear, sounds like it might be a visit to someone who knows how to adjust window glass...
