Want to replace the speakers in my STi 8. Dont want to spend loads, just enough so they are actually listenable. The one's in it at the moment are poo.

What should I get, and how much can I expect to pay, like I said, not too much, just enough

Can u run to 120? If so, focal access. If not, for 90-odd quid there's Infinity stuff being flogged off on mcs-direct IIRC which isn't half bad. If you're thinking of more than that, let us know as I've got plenty of suggestions

6.5s will fit in the front with a little work (originals are 5) and 5s will fit in the rear (originals are 4)

Will confirm this as soon as I get the door panels off mine

Not too sure about them having to cut holes in the doors for Tweeters

You don't have to cut holes. Either use the existing tweeter mounts, or the back of the door mirrors on that small triangle thingy

See that grille in your door handles...

There's none in the rears, but you don't need tweeters in the rears. Fit either just midbass drivers, or coaxials if you want to keep your rear passengers happy

If you were a little closer to God's Own County I'd offer you a hand

Very easy to do - look at the FAQ for inspiration. There's pics of an STI7 install on there, whcih is just the same.

Do check the FAQ first - it might give you the confidence you need...
