As some of you will know, the standard set-up in the new STI03 is pretty crap. I have ordered a single din conversion doo-daa to house my old faithfull Alpine CDA 7842r. Will also be running a Pheonix Gold QX2180 amp.
Does anyone have the sizes for speakers in the front doors and can I put anything under the rear shelf.
Ta
Pete.

It'll be like everything else - 5" as standard but 6.5 will fit with a bit of work for the fronts, rears I believe are 4" but will take 5"

How long's a piece of string

Took me a couple of hours to make the spacers, run cable, etc, and fit.

I had to use 2 lots of 6mm mdf screwed together due to the shape of
the woofers. 12mm is normally suitable for most things.

Cheers,

Nick.

Nick,

does that mean the rear speakers are only 13cm (5")?
And I thought the rears in a 99 were the same size as the front....

Thanks for the tip though, I was almost about to go and buy another set of 16cm speakers..and 13 is all I need
