Question

Getting a WRX Wagon (1994) and I will be removing the factory fit stero to replace it with a DIN size Clarion/Sony head unit.

Will I need to hacksaw the dash surround to fit it, or will it just slot in?

No reason why you should have a problem with clarion or sony re fitting.

But unless it is a fantastic deal or you are in love with the unit, never buy sony because its pants.

Ive said it before and Ill say it again. PANTS

so you don't like Sony gear then

Only reason I say Clarion/Sony is that a friend works for a car company and this company used to use Clarion units as factory fit for thier cars, thus he got me a very good unit for a very, very reasonable price, thus he might be able to do it again. The Sony bit comes from the fact that a work collegue has just got one of the car companies cars and it came with factory fit Sony unit. Thus the unit might be Sony rather than Clarion.

What unit do you have, or what would you recommend? I'm after a Radio/CD (or just radio) and 6 CD autochanger.
