Having got an Import with an expander in already.. it seems a bit underpowered and not great at picking up radio stations...

Are there expanders that are better than others and if so where do you get them??

Did you get any luck with this ?
I've just picked up a WRX which has a (standard fitment I think) Carrozeria which ahs an expander and I've lost the ability to pick up Radio 2 (sometimes this is no great loss, other times I'd quite like to hear it !).
The frequencies displayed are, I belive, out by about 10Mhz or so and it displays down to around 80 or so and in fact seems to pick up a station at 80.0 but you get no sound at this point but tuning up to around 93 gets the station that actually broadcasts on 93ish. Plus other stations receptions are quite iffy.
