Question

Folks,

I am looking for a head unit that has some form of line in. Not a 'bodge the cd changer cable and use that' type, but true line in. Reason being, I want to build an 'auto-pc' that sits in the boot, and has its sound card line out connected to the head units line in.

Cheers for any help.

Richie.

perhaps follow this post as m station is a hard drive connected in to the aux input of the Clarion unit (828/928) by two RCA jack plugs.

Most JVC, Nakamichi and Panasonics feature them. They're also more popular on MY03 head units. Failing that, you can get aux-adaptors for Alpine AiNet, Kenwood, Pioneer and Sony which aren't simple CD changer cable bodges.

JVC do them and they even build in a volume setting for the input - that way when you switch over from your MD or MP3 back to your CD or FM, you don't get blasted by volume.

I have the JVC KD-SX985 MP3 headunit and am v. impressed with it!
