Has my head unit died?
#1
Driving along yesterday, Clarion minidisc playing away(about 3 years old ish) and then it just stops?? So I thought it was just having a funny moment, tried to eject - it wouldnt - put it on radio -no sound. Turned it on and off etc - nothing.
This morning managed to eject the disc at which point the radio worked - however put another back in and I have the same problem.
So what do people reckon? Buggered - time for an mp3 unit or what??

Nah, sounds much more likely to be a dodgy connection, you'll be pleased to know
Take the head unit out and wiggle the wires at the back - bet it bursts into life.
If you can't get the head unit out easily, you should be able to reach the wires through the hole where the ashtray can be removed from.....
Good luck!
