Hullo!

Did you use the standard connector in the car? If so, the remote turn-on lead is used to trigger the amplified aerial (at least, it is on my Legacy). You might need to run an extra cable down, if yours has the amped aerial to.....?

well when it was in my FTO i had to cut the conectors off the end of the iso off the head unit i went down halfords and got a new one that connects to what ever the scooby has (two black conecter blocks) and it dont work. the remote leads are separate from these blocks

i also have a spad conector that is a black wire that comes from the loom it must be an earth is this for the head unit or somthing else coz i think there was a cd changer in it before?

So, have you run your own remote turn-on cable down to the amps or what?

Lightbulb

Do you have a voltmeter or tester of some sorts?

If so check the amp is receiving 12 volts and the ground is fine.

Next disconnect remote lead from the amp and using a short bit of wire connected (preferable with a fuse inline) to the remote line, touch it on the +12v connector of the amp. Does it turn on? If not then something wrong with the amp or fuse has blown.

Next do the same for the remote lead back to the head unit.

Check the remote out is live from the stereo etc....
