What's the standard speaker size in the front doors on a bugeye?

Basically, it's 6 inches but 6.5s will fit. For either, you'll probably find yourself needing a collar to push the speakers out a bit, as the standard depth is bugger all...

As chiark said. The standard speakers are a unique design, in that they only have three mounting brackets. You best bet is to make an MDF collar which will also give it more depth. I found about 12mm was about right.

I have just fitted a pair of JBL 6 x 9's in the front of my scooby, but i have a sport, but they might go into the bugeye too, they where a struggle, but needed no cutting, just some mounts to hold them in place!! and they sound a damn site better then the 30W ones that came out !
