Thought Id share this URL with you all as it has the cheapest prices Ive seen for most headunits, amps, speakers etc.

http://www.cel-direct.com/shop.asp

I have bought from them in the past and they were very good.

Yer they are good, but cel-direct still do a lot of stuff £30-£50 cheaper for same model. Prices displayed are included vat and delivery.

Car Electronics are good, i've bought a few things in their Nottingham store and always price matched. It's good that an online retailer has stores as well rather than just being a web page.

Having said that, letsbuycaraudio.com is good - I've bought stuff from them and have had no probelms with service, and you can even speak to them!!!

Very similar prices if not cheaper but then you have to add a tenner for delivery if ordering online. Still good to know that there are so many cheap places. No doubt if I bought a similar headunit from my local car audio dealer, it would be £100 more expensive minimum.

I was shopping for a new Alpine head unit.
RRP £800
Letsbuycaraudio £550
Car Audio Direct £600
MCS Direct £559
Cel Direct £610
inc vat & delivery

IMO it's worth shopping around. Just because one outlet is cheaper on some models, doesn't mean it's cheaper for all of them.

Yeah there are quite a few now.

Bass Junkies

I get myself from the States. You wait a bit longer but if you are buying expensive stuff, you get them so much cheaper!

We should ask the mods if we can have one post that stays at the top of this ICE forum where we can add all useful URL's to save people asking/searching etc.

And mods reading this?

Simon.

P.S. Anyone know a cheap URL for focal speakers other than http://www.mobiletoys.co.uk/

Sticky threads really aren't worth the hassle at the moment - edit more than 4 times and they disappear. I'll bring this up again...

KST, had the 7998 for a month or so now. Sounds really good but miss some of the functions on my old Sony that this doesn't have (like being able to scan through disc names).
