Question

i want to add tweeters to my UK MY99, to crisp the sound up a little. Is there an instructions page anywhere? I want these tweeters to go in the purpose-built tweeter bits of the door panels....

Remove door panel (see the faq for instructions.

Connect tweeter wires to existing speaker wires.

Position tweeter

Reassemble

I assume the tweeter has a capacitor as a simple high pass filter rather than a cross over. If it's a more complete kit (and I don't think it is) you'll need to put the supplied crossover somewhere.

Thanks fop the reply, I do not have tweeters at present so would need to purchase some, you are saying it would be better to review the whole speaker setup ?

chairk,

are there any good tweeters that will fit into the tweeter housing on the MY99 door panels?

How much and where from? I don't want to spend too much. The rest of the speakers are fairly decent (Alpine) - fitted by previous owner...

You really need to try to match components together, as they'll work best like that.

I would imagine the alpines have tweeters in them already - leave it be
