I'm sure this has been asked many times before but have just picked up my mew STi and have GOT to replace the standard speakers.

The Pioneer 9100 head unit is already on order but am not sure about speakers? Have been pretty happy with Infinity, Pioneer and Alpine in the past? My only crieria is:

1. Wanna spend up to circa. £200 on front and rear replacements.

2. Want to fit them myself so the replacements must be a straight-forward fit? i.e. Don't want to messing about making anything if I can avoid it!

Focal have just released an entry level kit at around 120 quid which I'd like to hear...

What sort of music do you listen to? Do you want it loud, or laid back? Are you likely to want to add an amp, or is this the upgrade path?

Cheers,

nick.

Nick,

No plans to add an amp at this stage but you never know? I'm into all kinds of stuff but my road-going music tends to be loud ... Offspring, Ash, Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, A, etc ....

Had Infinitys all round in my Evo before which sounded pretty good with the Pioneer 7100 that was in there?

Cheers,
Boysey
