Fitting Nokia Car Kit

I've got a WRX with cd/tape in dashboard. i've had a car kit fitted but they couldn't wire the "turn the stero down" muting. Does anyone know if this is psosible on the standard stero and if so can you tell me how?

The radio doesn't have a facility for mute when the phone rings. But you can frig it. Put a relay in the 12V ignition switch controlled feed and arrange it so that when the phone rings it kills the power to the radio. Works a treat, done it on MY01 WRX and MY02 STi7.
