Question

I'm not gone yet But going back to MCS to get me sound deadening put in as they didn't have time last week but just wanted 2 check how much needs to be stuck in 2 optimise the sound? I noted the sorta plastic sheet behind the door when they were stickin speakers in the hole & just wondered, presuming this is for waterproofing, wot the crack is with actually putting the deadening in the door Just wondered if it was only realy behind the main speaker bit u need 2 pad 2 prevent vibration or wotever, i no it's probably guna b best if all flat surfaces get a portion but wasn't sure score with gettin 2 entire panel etc! I mean i'm not guna b doing it myself but i like 2 no wots involved just on the off chance that sum numpty gets carried away

You don't need to do the entire panel, just bits of it IMHO. Pull the sheeting off and do the actual door skin. Some people have done the door frame (bit that the plastic is on) and report improvements too.

When fitting, clean the metal well before sticking it on otherwise it isn't as effective and the stuff doesn't stick

IMHO I thought doing inner door, inside of door skin and flat bits of door trim (in that order) all made worthwhile and not that subtle improvements. Do all flat surfaces, don't worry about curvey bits. Obviously cost and weight and some amount of diminishing returns come into it

i hope wot i sed is useful!
