Hi,
Does anybody know the make and model of head unit fitted to my UK Impreza WRX (2002)? It is double DIN size, has single CD, cassette and radio.
The quality seems poor. Is it the radio or speakers?
Is it possible to add CD mulitplayer?
Thanks in advance,
Ross

I believe it's a rebadged kenwood made specifically for Subaru. It's acknowledged to be "pants".

The unit itself is bad, as are the speakers...

Agree with chiark, speakers and unit are "pants" but you can add a CD miltichanger to it(see your local dealer). My advise, ditch the unit and the speakers its the only way to get a good sound.

Cheers

Daz.

All you need to do to make a MY02 OEM scooby stereo sound fantastic is new speakers, new head unit and a couple of packs of dynamat. And maybe some upgraded cable. Apart from that it's great

haven't said it for weeks now ,so . . . . I fitted a single DIN head unit and a single DIN changer to fill the other slot (Blaupunkt), which works fine for me. Just need to buy a digi camera so people here can see it.
