Running Two Head Units

I want a minidisc and cd combo i have a pioneer cd headunit and to get a cd n mdchanger i would have to go all out sony as i want a longplay mdchanger n cd headunit
i was wonderin if i could run a md headunit as well as my existing CD headunit??

is it poss please help me or am i gonna have to go all out sony set??

...depends if your head unit supports aux in, really. It'll be a bit messy, but it'd work. You'd set one unit with the aux input as the "master" unit, and use that for tuner and whatever its got built in (CD or MD, depending) then when you wanted to use the other, you'd switch the master to "Aux" input...

The RCA outputs from the slave would go to the aux input on the master.

It would be possible without needing an aux in. You could fit changeover relays from the switched outputs on the two head units speaker outputs. Not a perfect solution, but would work and might be more user-friendly than using the aux in. Could do that with or without a power amp in line. If you really want to do it that way, mail me and I'll help with the circuit.

Good point. The remote turn on from one could be the trigger for the relays...

Thanks guys but i really have no idea what to do so shall i just sell me lame pioneer cd headunit n buty a sony headunit and MD changer??

would that just b easier?

I really have no idea about wirin stuff i couldn't even wire in my speakers properly so i think i will forget it n go all out sony as i don't think u could explain it to me!!

I have a Sony MD head unit (MDX-C6500R) and Sony 10 Disc Changer (can't remember model) for sale if your interested. All cables etc included. Nice price
