Best 6x9 Speakers
#2
Philips are not in the car audio game anymore, (shame). They sold the car audio division to Mannasmann (not sure if thats spelt right) 3 years or so ago. What used to be Philips is now called VDO Dayton. Visit some dealers and listen to their speakers and buy what you like the sound of.

Arron, what is your current setup? if you have not got decent fronts and an amp forget the 6x9's and sort this out.
IMO you only need a set of decent fronts a sub or 2 and an amp to run it all.
Are you sure that you want to make holes to fit the 6x9's?
Phillips will be OK without an amp but load them up and they wont last.
Recently came across some Fusion power plants and they sound great and will take whatever you throw at them. Check the link(if it works)

Hope this helps

Thanks guys for the advice.
I went for a Kenwood KFCHQ698 300 WATT speakers in the end, having them hopefully fitted Friday morn and I'll let you know what I think.
I got a good deal on them from a trade supplies comp.
Next might be an amp ?
Arron.

Rear speakers are not needed once you've setup a decent amplified front component speaker set ! They will only confuse the sound-stage and as everyone knows... there's no rear sound recorded on any CD,MD,Cass... etc
