Im looking at getting either Focal Access Line 165A or 165-V (if funds permit) for my MY 02 GX.

Has anyone had any experice in fitting these, or are there other units that I sould be considering?

Not encountered the exact model you're talking about, but Focals tend to have quite chunky magnets. This can be a pain if you're tight on mounting depth. Check how much space you have first !

Thanks for your reply Steve

Looks like I'd need 70mm+ to fit the Focals no idea if that kind of space is avaiable. Will need to take the door lining off and take a look.

Good luck fitting the focals, I tried putting a pair of 165 in my my98, but the baskets were just too wide for the door and the depth (+ excursion) made it impossible to fit without making door builds. Can't say for the new model, though, best check with the shop you can exchange them if needs be or remove the door panel and see how they would fit when you're down there.

good luck

Looks like the Focals might be out due to depth.. what are the other options? a I see lots of posts regarding infinity's but are there any others I should be considering.

Have to catch up with you sometime. I've put a stack of ICE into the car, maybe give you some ideas. I work in Lloyds TSB all over Glasgow so maybe see you around.

Cool

Loads of other quality cones around, have a look at the Boston Accoustics range, Dynaudio and JL to see what'll fit. Make sure it sounds good first, though!!
