Just having a butchers at sum goodies, as below, which i hope 2 buy when my credit card recovers from all these group buys & while looking at the 10CD interchanger thingies i saw this & my bro tells me the MP3 playback thing means he can bung loads of MP3 onto a CD & thus get more toons than the likes of 10 standard CD's.
So my dumb *** question is does this affect quality much or any other side effects?
& no i dont want just an MP3 player as CD is still my most used musical playing device.
Cheers knowledgable types

I had a chat about this one down the pub with me mate last weekend - mini disc v mp3 v cd. mp3 is great for getting music without having to buy the album, however the quality has to be 192 or better if you want to make a comparrison with cd. It really depends on the music you listen to, the focals in my scoob really highlight how bad the quality of dance stuff is, so if you listen to that then mp3 is brilliant. The limitations of MD are noticable, so if its true sq you're after, then its a dedicated cd hu or cd changer with optical out for quality.
I agree with mr g - listening to it before is best, bring along an mp3 and a cd with the same track on and see if the difference is noticable between the two, and try the same tune at lower frame rates - the lower, the more you'll be able to fit on obviuosly, but quality wil be compromised.

Si, if you want to hear bad recording on dance stuff, try Hey Boy/Hey Girl by the Chemical Brothers. It's almost unlistenable to on anything approaching a decent system. Bloody awful production in my humble opinion...
