Not sure if this should be here of in the Interior forum. What are the differences between the Bug and Blob front door cards and are they inter-changeable? The reason I ask is that I've fitted some new speakers in my Bug but it has the stupid door cards where the speaker cover is angled back in 2/3s up. Meaning that I'm not going to the get lower part of the card onto the door properly.

The Blob appears to have a different speaker cover which doesn't cut back into the card so aggressively. So do they fit across years (I presume so) and does anyone know what diameter speaker fits within the round speaker cover? I've fitted 6.5" speakers. The issue with the Bug is the external clearance of the speaker cover, not the diameter per se.
