Hi guys,i have just bought an 06 STi and want to upgrade the speakers (as you may know the standard system is pretty pony).I dont want a massive ICE setup just something with decent quality for if i feel like pumping the tunes.Can anyone suggest any speakers that would be a good direct replacement please?

Blobs are 6.5 replacement and Hawks are 5.5 not sure if jdm's are different. which ain't many that size. But Halfords do a vibe (Fli) which are direct fit.

Thanks for the reply.I have been to a place near me,Im going to get an alpine double din,JL components that are a direct fit and a bit of sound deadening,although I am now in 2 minds as I seem to prefer listening to the car rather than music!!!! lol

Exhaust sound great around town and short journeys but can see getting bit borin on those longer trips. When I came to replace mine found 6.5" infinitys and tweeters with built in crossovers But super old and well worn. Deffo sounds better now. 👍

The doors are the same on the newage cars from bug, blob to hawk, so surprised by different size speakers in them tbh, I would have thought they were all the same size

My 07 hawk was 5.5 front my 05 blob is 6.5 fronts. All rears are same size.
