water shields
A few weeks ago i fitted some 6 1/2 inch JBL's in the doors of my 98 Turbo, to get them to fit i had to cut off the original water shields but now im finding water is getting onto the speekers.
Has anyone got any ideas on what i can use as water shields ?
apart from taping plastic bags to the back of the speekers (not very acousticly freindly
) im all out of ideas.

I had the same problem, lucky my pioneers are poly-propyl-sommat. Still, I did'nt like the fluffy mould that grew on my home made MDF pods
Problem fixed by using flowerpots with the bottoms cut off
Not sure if its the best solution in terms of sound quality though(resonance etc). Although I don't notice
