Default Do-Luck Style Boot Lid GB#1

We are currently working on a Do-Luck Style boot lid, with the launch of the new product I'd like to offer a group buy to anyone interested. Group buy will run till 31/07/13

RRP is:
Fibreglass £299.99
Carbon Fibre £499.99

I can offer these group buy rates.
5+ = 15%
10+ = 20%

Fibreglass
5+ = 15% = £255
10+ = 20% = £240

Carbon Fibre
5+ = 15% = £425
10+ = 20% = £400

All plus postage of £35 UK mainland, if you live outside the UK please contact me for a price.

They are slightly better than previous group buy rates due to the product costing more to the top end of the scale for what we manufacture. As always if you'd like to copy this thread to another forum let me know if anyone signs up.

I will keep the thread updated with photos and information as the project comes along. Please note the photo attached below is for illustration only it is not one of our boot lids, I will change it once we have the first lid complete

VERY interested but 3 questions please:

1. Will these be available with the hole/recess on the lid for me to drill out/fit in the bootlock key?
2. If I buy the carbon boot and decide I don't like the carbon, any hassle for my paint guys to sand it down and just spray it?
3. Any expected weight difference between the Fiberglass and carbon version?

Thanks .

1. Yes the boot lock hole will be there
2. No not really you just need to make sure you use a decent primer
3. There wont be any weight difference between the 2, the carbon one has an inner fibreglass shell so they are both pretty much identical with weight

sorry if I'm being a fussbag, but I don't really want to solidly commit till I've seen the item mate (or your prototype anyway). Do you need 5 or 10+ of each or the number in total? I'm very keen though mate!!

Thats fine guys if I was in your shoes I'd be exactly the same thats why I dont ask for any money up front

Put your names down anyway and we'll get the numbers up, once we have a finished boot lid I'll take as many photos as I can so you can see the finished product

The numbers are total rather than of each material

Hmm, I am trying to go more for classy (if you can ever classify a Scoob as classy?)/more stealthy, so I think that the Carbon would be a mistake for me.

Please put me down for the Fibreglass one Ben but, a couple more questions please, they should help others too:

1. I know that photo attached isn't yours, but the shut lines on that photo have me cringing, possibly the boot isn't closed properly. How are the shutlines for the original Do-Luck one fitted to a car, before you mould it and how confident are you that your shutlines are going to be perfectly smooth and inline with cay the standard bootlid? Please don't think I am questioning your work, it is purely that I have bought aftermarket carbon bonnets/bootlids in the past and haven't had much luck!

2. Although I have some local painters that do great work for me, just to confirm, you don't get involved in getting parts painted for an additional charge before shipping out to customers? Not saying you should, just asking .

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick,

1. The photos below are of Eddys car he has been kind enough to give us the boot lid to mould from, you can see how it fits here. Once we have one ready and up to Eddy I'll be going over to take a load of photos so you can see how it'll follow the lines of the car

2. We dont do painting no

Hi!

Is it too late to order one fiberglass version now? Slow ignition on my part
Can you ship to Finland? And with what kind of shipping costs will I need to be expecting?

Thanks!
