Default XXR530 or XXR527 group buy discount deal from Japshop.co.uk

Hi everyone , I think it is time for a group buy on the lovely xxr alloys. I have noticed both the 530 and the 527 are quite popular. I would like a set of the xxr530 myself. So I have sent a message to the bhp factory in Lancashire. They normally sell both the 18" 530 and the 527 for £550 plus £16 pp. these wheels come in 100 and 114.3 pcd fitment. That means they will fit any Subaru. Except vivio of course ) and it will be easier to sell on afterwards. to do a quick group buy so everyone get their wheels ASAP I thought we get five people together and go for it. So both it and craigyp are up for it and we need just three more. If more than that turn up of course they are more than welcome and maybe we can get the price to drop even further. But we won't wait.

Thanks for the PM.

I'm in the market for a set. Want to buy sooner rather than later so please let me know prices as and when you get them.

Well lets ask them aswell. We should get them from Who ever gives the best price. Can you send them a message tonight and ask what they can do for 5 sets and alternatively ten sets. The price I got was for the 8,75 18" et20. narrower ones might be cheaper. Let's get all prices by tomorrow and go for it. The spring has come and no one wants to wait for their new alloys.

I thought it was you organising the group buy?

8.75 are the narrowest 18's they do. The ET20 offset is less popular as they require arch work depending on how low the motor is...id be after ET35.

Five sets - I doubt there will be much discount tbh, 10 sets and you'd probably have a deal, and be better to go through

pm him and find out

its not all about being the cheapest-its about after sales aswell and i know if there is a problem then mags will try 110% to try and resolve any issues.

the profit in wheels is minimal so between them i bet there is less than £20 in it,if it was a saving of say £100 then yes it would be worth a punt but for the sake of £20 ish i think i will order from mags,he will probably do me a good deal on some nice rubber for them along with some new wheel nuts.

i just dont trust ebay like i used to.speak with mags to see what he can offer for 5 sets/10 sets etc

yes I had the same with Mags, wouldnt price match the Redlines, so i had to buy them elsewhere years ago, and when I inquired about the XXR's before christmss he just gave me silly replies and wouldnt give me a price. Had more sales care from an ebay seller on the Redlines, so im definitely happy to look elsewhere

yes i am organizing the group buy but if someone else brings in an idea and suggests a different supplier, seeing that i don't know their contact details, it wouldn't matter who makes the call and gets the deal done. ultimately we all want good wheels at good prices asap. i wouldn't get offended if someone stole my thread, and i am not trying to boss anyone around. i thought we could work together and get this group buy done pretty quickly.
five buyers might not be a lot but surely someone would do us some discount, however seeing the interest on the thread in just one day i think we can hit the 10 set barrier pretty swiftly. i am not insisting on the supplier i found. if the differences are minimal we should go for the best service. i will get on the blower first thing in the morning and call bhp factory, SRB Motorsport and mags if i can figure out who he or they are...

it is funny how i have been at this forum longer than anyone else on this thread and don't have a clue about who mags is. is this a person or a company? do we have any contact details

ok called srb power they asked me to send an email which i have sent. so waiting for their answer.

bhp factory says they will give 10% discount if we can get 6 people or more. all we need to do is go to the http://www.japshop.co.uk/ and choose what we want and we will get 10% discount vouchers. how does that work? go online and chose what you want. you can also go for tyres and wheel nuts etc. they are falken specialists so he will create a special link for us on the website. and put some budget tyres and some falken tyres. you don't have to buy tyres but you must buy wheels in order to get the discount. he then wants me to send him an email with everyones sn username, email addresses and specifications of their order i.e.;

k_duraman
k_duraman@hotmail.com
xxr530 18'' 8,75 et20
falken 245/35/18

then he will send me individual discount voucher numbers, and i will pm them to you guys then you go online and purchase whatever you want and get a 10% discount on the japshop prices on your total spendings. the items will not be released until six sets of wheels are sold. i hope this is fair for everyone.
