Default Composite firewalls and boot floor.

Ok guys I am thinking of doing this again if there is enough interest. As things stand I can do these for classic Impreza's.

If there is sufficient interest I can do them for newage impreza's as I could strip out my road blobeye and do the templetes etc. I would only be able to do the boot floor at standard length for the newage as there is no way of measuring the long one on my road car.

The classic rear seat back firewalls and boot floor panels are made from 3mm alloy composite. This has a gloss side and a matt side. It is light but much stronger than comparable alloy on its own. It has protective plastic on so its impossible to tell if there are any imperfections in the finish as I dont want to pull the protective plastic off. If there are it will be very minor, just being honest as its difficult to cut and file it without risking some small marks. The composite is considerably more expensive than plain alloy but as mentioned is much stronger and does not require painting or treating. The white ones are slightly more expensive as the composite is dearer in white for some reason.

I have made this batch of boot floor panels longer than normal so that they can be used to create a diffuser if you intend cutting your bumper at the same time, if not I can shorten it.

Firewall in white £125

Firewall in black £120

Boot floor in white £110 (£115 if long version to extend into bumper for diffuser)

Boot floor in Black £105 (£110 if long version to extend into bumper for diffuser)

Picture of boot floor on my car extending onto the bumper to create a diffuser. I managed to get mine to mate nicely with the lip that was left on the bumper. All i did was rivet the panel inplace and then gently bend the section up to meet the bumper cut out making a nice smooth curve.

Prices are plus postage and paypal fees. I am happy to package these up and courier them but would be happier if you arranged your own courier.

I may be able to tweek the prices slightly but not by much. Unfortunately unlike buying parts I dont get a discount on the composite the more I buy, and it takes the same time to make each one whether I make one or ten.

I did deliberate about putting it in the group by section for this reason.

In terms of numbers. For the classic bits I would need a min of 5 orders doesnt matter whether its firewalls or flat boot floors its more for buying the composite. For the newage I would need a min of 5 orders for each, boot floor and firewall, as it will take a fair amount of work making the templates as I need to strip out the road car to make them.

Ok, as i missed out on a firewall last time - i'll take one.

I'm also in two minds about the boot floor too. Can i see a picture with the rear bumper fitted With diffuser? I'm thinking of doing this as it is going to be a track car anyway.

For a classic btw.

Few pics below.

I have not finished my diffuser yet but the way I have done it with the boot floor all I need to do is blank off the sides to direct the air out the back and then make a couple of vertical vanes.

Boot floor with tank and pumps etc installed.

Really difficult to take decent pictures to show it but here are a few.

Decided to resurect this to see if there is any more interest. I have not done a firewall template for bug/blob models yet due to limited interest but classic firewalls and boot floors are available.

This my firewall fitted. The actual fit of the composite one is identical its just lighter and stronger.

Rear of my firewall with right angled doublers.

Mine is made from alloy and has been in the car for a few years. When i made it I had access to alloy sheet but it was a compromise as I had to use right angle doublers at the back to strengthen it. The composite sheet doesnt need this as it is much stronger but also much lighter than the alloy.

Ok guys need to make a decision on whether to do another batch of classic seat back firewalls as shown in the pics above. If your definately interested could you add your name to the list below - thanks.
I am working on the principle of people wanting black so can offer them for £125 delivered.
