Velocity Carbon Newage Bootlids
Hey all,
Just seeing what sort of interested there is on a group buy of Velocity Carbon newage boot lids.
Velocity Carbon are an American company that specialise in a various carbon and grp body panels.
Most items like bonnets and lips can be purchased already over here, but thier range of boot lids are pretty unique.
There are 3 material choices, Dry carbon, Wet Carbon and GRP.
Dry carbon:
This is the real deal! The V1 Dry Carbon trunk is our race version trunk. Made of FULL 100% 2x2 twill Dry (Pre-preg) Carbon Fiber. Not one strand of fiberglass on this trunk. What this means for the customer is the lightest, most race inspired trunk available! Its sleek, subtle, yet aggressive look is sure to turn heads.
Specs:
*8.15 lbs
*Full 100% Dry Carbon Fiber (inside and out)
*Matte finish
*Comes with latch
*Bolt on fitment, No modification necessary
*Key hole has been deleted
Wet Carbon:
The V1 Carbon Fiber trunk is our sport version Carbon trunk. This trunk is made of 2x2 twill weave Carbon Fiber and FRP. This trunk is light, coming in at 12 lbs! Its shiny finish and sleek, subtle, yet aggressive looks speaks for itself.
Specs:
*12lbs
*2x2 twill Carbon Fiber with FRP reinforcement
*Comes with latch
*Bolt on fitment
*Key hole has been deleted
Fibreglass:
The V1 Fiberglass trunk is made specifically for those who intend to paint their trunks and are not concerned with an extra pound or two. Save money by purchasing the V1 Fiberglass Trunk and keep the sleek, subtle, yet aggressive look!
Specs:
*Weight 14.0 lbs
*Full Fiberglass
*Comes with latch
*Bolt on fitment
*With or without key hole
Prices:
To be able to get these made and sent over we would need at least 8 boot lids made, in any material. The prices will be:
Wet Carbon: £510
Grp: £370
Dry Carbon: £1200
If there is enough interest then we would need a NON REFUNDABLE deposit of 50% of the value of the boot lid, then the rest when the lids arrive. They would need to be produced, then due to size and weight will be sent via sea shipment, so will take a few weeks to arrive.
So basically plenty of time to save up!
