Hi Bob, Have you noticed a deterioration in battery performance or just future proofing yourself?

Do these need to be kept topped up, or are they fit and forget and are they direct fit..?

I may well be interested, when is the closing date (ie I'm broke ATM..)..?

Cheers,
J

Hi Gerry. Mine could do with a change. With the abuse I've given it over the last two years its doing well to still be working. I used my car very irregularly and when it did it was alot of usually 1 mile journeys at night, with constant drains inc a active tracker, alarm and lamdalink constantly powered on. It has also been overcharged a few times.

Even after all the abuse, it still holds charge for 2-3days unused/inbetween journeys (charges up fine when used).

The other people who brought them for their cars got on better with theirs.

Jas: Should be fine for a car used regularly with drains such as alarms/trackers. Fitment is easy enough. I just took my old terminals off and connected it up without them. Due to the battery being so tiny, so can either strap it into place or use a block/spacer and use the OE battery holder.

Mine isn't even a competition car, but I would dread to go back to the bulky OE battery.

Thanks Bob Just wondered as mine's been fine. Irregular use and gets drained by the alarm etc. as with yours, so I disconnect it if I don't plan using the car in the next couple of days. It can sit like that for weeks, re-connect and away it goes.

Very pleased with it.

HTH but I don't think I need a replacement for a while.

As soon as we hit the required 10 batteries, which is also the max number of batteries available for the GB

Pop your name down. As long as its not too much after the GB close that you can pay. I have dealt with you a couple of times, so know you're good for it

Yes, it would be good on a car regularly used.

Battery can be stored for 2 years, without problem.

Bob, if it's possible I'd like a price on adding a set of the terminal posts (ELA00006) as I don't want to have to hack off the oem female terminals..

Will this be able to hold a starting charge for a fortnight Bob? Working offshore jump-starting the car every time i come home is a hassle i could do without.

If you reckon it'll be ok i'm in.

Is this the same as a Varley red top 25, now sold by DMS. Dimensions and other specs look the same. Good price if so.

I don't think there would be enough interest tbh.

I won't be using one.

If there is enough interest I can always get a price

Not sure tbh. I think they are different manufacturers.

Dimensions are OE fit in some Honda and BMW bikes I believe.
