Thumbs up GT Spec Gen II Tubular Headers...

Available from Mocom Racing,

Zak is getting back to me with reagrds to fitting services and wrap..

Uncoated GTSPEC Gen II headers RRP £430 - Group buy price £375.00

Ceramic coated Gen II headers - Price TBA

Delivery would be £12

Availability of JetHot coated headers is 2nd week of October

GTSPECs 2nd generation (r1) exhaust manifold for the Subaru Impreza Turbo - pre-coated by Jet-Hot with a 2,450 degree F tolerant coating. Includes uppipe with threaded boss for EGT sensor, not included but K-type thermocouples can be supplied if required for connectivity to Innovates LMA-3 or AuxBox.

Why mess with exhaust wrap when you can get it pre-treated?

Coating the exhaust in this manner prevents the radiation of heat into the engine bay helping to control those vital underbonnet temperatures and more importantly keeps the heat within the exhaust gas. The hotter the gas, the higher velocity, the faster the turbine will spool!

Any questions guys, i'll try my best to get answered for you

Please note.

In the quest for getting the headers coated to a higher quality. The company coating the headers is now based in the UK and are very well know for their F1 coatings.

Unfortunately this means the price for the ceramic coated headers has gone up.

I am yet to get the final pricing on the coated headers, but expect price to reflect the quality of the items you will receive.

These are the best headers you'll buy for the money, and i assure nobody will be disappointed.

The Jethot coating works very well and removes the need to wrap, although you can wrap it as well if you choose to. From what I have seen the jethot coating works and lasts very well.
Headers and up-pipe supplied. New manifold gasket can be supplied at further cost.

Flat4online dont list the GT Spec's..

These are Genuine GT Spec Gen II so come with the stronger, revised 3 bolt fixing on the uppipe, of which is also included.

Flat4 list a "Kakumei" GT Spec headers of which claim to be the same as the genuine ones listed in this GB.

In all honesty i cannot comment on wether they are the same or not because i truthfully do not know.

What i do know is that these are the genuine article and the quality and finish is fantastic.

You pay your money so are welcome to purchase wherever you like

I think your exactly right there frayz, quality cant be commented on regarding the Flat4 Kakumei headers but if there as good as the Kakumei system, they will be damn good quality and the fit will be superb.

Like you say, you payz your money, you takez your choice.

Good price from a trusted tuner.

I have these on my car from MocomRacing

Don't waste your money on 'cheap' headers as it will end up costing more in the long run.

OK, i've currently got ported/wrapped headers & up-pipe from Harvey.

At my level of tune, would these GT Spec ones be an improvement/worth it??

Spec Here

The set up you have is very good if you like the low down grunt and spool, the GT spec headers will give a stronger mid and top end power and torque where you current headers will not be able to cope with the flow of exhaust fumes, these may add a bit more spool time but the benifit these give is far greater..
these headers don't leak or split like the other also I am sure they can easily take approx 500bhp so good if you plan to mod further, but you will prob need to change exhaust up pipe etc,
I was told this... ported = better than standard, tubular more power than ported,

Also get them with the jet hot option looks good and a similar technique is used on rally/wrc exhausts + other motorsports..

I dont like to quote BHP gains but as said, youre likely to se a big improvement in mid/top end horsepower and will complement your existing mods well.

if you have got a set of new headers all ready, can you have just the jet hot coating put onto your own ones?

Mocom can have items ceramic coated, best off calling Zak for pricing.
