Would this be the same design as the GRP one they already do, and if so any rough idea of price?

I've just fit an HT Auto front splitter to my 02, had it painted and it looks good to me. Permanantly concerned about catching it tough.

A Plastic one would be a good idea

I think so, but it doesn't fit a bugeye, these will need to be made specially.

yea this would be identical to the blobeye 1 above but he would have to make up a mould for the bugeye shape / fitting , just gauging interest at mo and i said ide get back to him if theres enough interest generated .
price wise should be the same as the blob one .

i think the flexible black splitter would be a good seller for them , so the more interest the better .
will look the dogzz too with no need for painting and obviously more flexible than grp so not gonna get cracked and split on kerbs .
keep up with the interest and we will see if he will do them for us
cheers

Sherlock

If he's making them to fit the same as the other splitters he makes for the 02MY, I'm affraid it wont.

He may make one for the Prodrive bumper though, personaly, I like the standard prodrive spoiler

so do i !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the markets crying out for these , they truly are the best affordable {fit it and of you go} splitters available . [and ive had a good look at all available ]
but we need more interest + buyers before they will go ahead , so lets keep the interest up and not keep these a secret and spread the word .
fingers crossed .

they already have a mould they make them in grp and they fit spot on

obviously more flexible than grp so not gonna get cracked and split on kerbs .
but they will get damaged / scratched when you hit kerb's etc , it's harder to repair than grp , not want to put a dampner on thing's just be aware they can still be damaged etc

AFAIK guys with Prodrive edition bumpers will need to cut off the lip underneath to fit this splitter.

Something i personally am not prepared to do

The splitter should be designed to fit with the existing lip in place. It would help secure it in place.

agreed m8 , but the point i was making is any slow kerb contact , may not result in the same type of damage as you would see with a painted grp item , as a few will agree they have seen severe damage with kerbing / speedhumps etc .

yes but even at slow kerb contact it's going to get scratched just the same as a painted grp one , hit it harder than yes the grp is more rigid and might damage more than plastic ,

Hi,
Sorry not enough interest yet as tooling can cost 3 - 5K. We need to guarentee we will sell at least 50 lips to make worth our while.

But on the up side, the GRP ones now come in BLACK primer, so can be fitted without need for painting!!!!!!!

P.S. Keep up the interest, we may change our minds
