Smile *lockable alloy gear changer *

After months of planning - making drawings , testing ,We have now developed this we now have our prototype and I love it! ,

When the gear stick is put in reverse , It will allow you to turn the key and underneath will lock into place. This will stop the stick being removed from reverse.

This will come complete in any Finish , this can include any anodised colour i.e blue, black , red, green etc , Also polished finishes and crome .

The one in the photo is just a plain one straight off the machine.

The full kit will include

Alloy plate.
Adjustable short shiftern with ferrari style ****
leather gaitor in any colour.
Quality lock with 2 sets of keys .
Fitting in exchange for the centre piece sent to us - there is a bit invloved , removing circlips etc which we have the tools for,

Please note there is quite a lot involved in producing this kit , and also including all the parts they don't work out as cheap as we would of liked to sold them at .

The retail will be £129.99 .. Group buy prices will around £100. (whole kit)

To suit wrx/sti 01-04 .

These are brand new on the market today guys, I would love to hear all your feedback and opinions- the photo doesn't really do this justice,

We currently only have this one , so these will take time to make.

Also if you are going to elvington on Sunday come and see us as it will be on the car

Chris

Are you sure that one is for a MY01 sti? Every sti form 01 has 6 gears! Be great if you made them for 97 cars!

Chris, looks nicely made although not sure how long the ally finish would hold up to being battered by a bunch of keys.

I've had both Deadlock and Dipol locks, and found them very easy to use, although never managed to get any insurance discount, despite what the adverts say.

Have you thought about getting some independent testing done ? although I guess this would only increase your costs more.

Would have been interested if I didn't already have a Dipol on the current car.

from me.

Hi ,

Like i said .. this is our prototype that we just managed to get finished in time for the shootout on sunday , so we haven't had time to get it anodised or chromed ,

I must try and get some better photo's as it really does look the nuts in my car,

The thing I have thought about was asking a couple of companys like greenline, a plan .. to offer there customers discounts if they have one of these - maybe with a special part number engraved underneath which only we have? Dunno .. something maybe to think about-

Thanks for the comments!

It's a neat idea but I suspect a car thief would merely sit in the back seat and kick the gear lever until the locking mechanism snapped.

That is true .... we have 2 sets of 12ft gates at our unit with cctv and a alarm and we still get broken into .... if a theif wants something they will take it whatever, but it will take them a little extra time

Yep, buying time is always good where security is concerned.

Agreed... cdfracing next project is a flamethrower for mounting inside the centre console which is activated by large impacts to your locking mechanism, watching the theif put himself out of flames should buy some more time

Maybe laser targeting to stop the car going up too
