Yes, more info please

I can't view the vid clips at work, but I'm assuming that this is using the windscreen spray for the intercooler? Does this mean that you'd have to do without screenwash/antifreeze?

Do you have to wash the windscreen every time you squirt the IC

Sorry, but that looks a bit pants!
Shouldn't the water be misting as it hits the IC? Just looks like someones put 4 holes in the washer jet feed!

Yep, not one of your best CDF, back to the drawing board I afraid..

BTW, as mentioned two points. The spray should be atomised and having to wash windows at same time isn't very practical when you're giving it some..!

thats not bad, could you make the holes smaller and therefore keep better pressure for wipers, will this do any damage to the engine area, I take it that the real sti thing is a much finer spray…

or would it be possible to thread the holes to accept hoselock micro nozzels (available from B&Q few £ in a variety of very fine spray patterns). Maybe worth a thought..?

However it doesn't solve the wash wipe/same time problem..

"However it doesn't solve the wash wipe/same time problem.."

Yes that's the thing, it wouldn't bother me.. but I know what your saying, I will experiment a bit with it and try and get it to mist out .. Just a idea as mine was getting very hot the other day as mine isn't a Sti and doesn't come with the spray,

keep us informed mate, sounds interesting, don’t use any screen wash so no issue with that …… (use mineral water )

would it be possible to have a cap or cover so you can turn it off in cold weather etc just an idea

Sounds a bit crazy...........

doing the quater mile or backroads and you get load of water sprayed on your windscreen blocking your view..........

Surely getting washer bottle with 2 pumps on it thats on ones with headlight washers woulda been better and just fed power via a switch to the second pump to be used for the sprayers..???

Water spray systems are **** easy to build.

All you need is a pump, a water tank, wiring harness, switch and nozzle.

Pump. £10
Water tank. £10 upto £20 depending upon size
Switch... depends wot you want but 25p to a few quid
Nozzle. Garden irrigation nozzle will work fine but it has to be the misting ones. £5 genuine STI versions are just over £10 each

If you want to be really fancy you can build these into a boost control solinoid to activate at a certian PSI and you can also rig it in with a timer relay.

Boost solinoid is around £25 and realy timer is about £10

All in your looking at a full blown system for under £100

To be honest.... i dont think it makes the slightest difference unless your are constanlty spraying water from a 25lt tank... and that will go done rather quick.

If anyone wants a wiring diagram to attempt a DIY job i'll draw one out no probs!
