Any progress on classic pod pics? I'm ready to buy but I'd like to see a pic to clarify the quality (as best you can from a pic) before I order

My spidey senses tell me the classic pics are of any old pod and not the one we are getting. I wanted to be able to try and judge the colour/grain of the plastic. Looks like we'll have to take a little shot in the dark

Edit: I make a policy of not editing what becomes a controversial post. After reading this post skip to post 32 and you'll see that ALL of my concerns are shelved when the pod arrived as described.

I've paid by pay pal. I won't lie I'm a little concerned. The guy has no website, we've had pictures that could be from anywhere and a promise of a pod. We've had limited direct contact with the guy who's business and personal emails are hotmail accounts. I fear this may be a scam - you might want to hang fire until I get delivery and that way we'll know its legitimate.

why dont you guys just buy from J-W Racing ? I got mine for £70 delivered from a reputable source and a great centre pod.

Am sure you could get it cheaper than what I paid with a GB.

I've had a PM regarding my expression of concern on this thread: I have responded as follows:

You'll notice I didn't make any accusations at all but simply expressed some concern. I was very quick to jump into the purchase and ultimately I have no come back. I don't have an address, business or otherwise, for the guy and I don't even have an internet provider but rather just two hotmail accounts. It would be soooo easy for him to take the money and post nothing - you have to agree with that. I simply felt given I dived in perhaps others should hang fire a day or two until I get the pod just to give everyone some security. I don't feel that's unreasonable and I feel its in the best interest of the community.

You can't be too careful these days especially on the internet

When the pod arrives I'll be happy to sing Kev's praises. This is how business works; get a few happy customers on board and you build a positive reputation for yourself.

Kenny

I must stress that I'm not saying anything positive or otherwise about the supplier here. I'm simply pointing out that we don't have the level of purchase security you might get buying from a well known retailer. When my pod arrives I'll update the thread immediately

Saxo Boy

If you paid someone with no questions asked about id etc, I am no supprised you are a little concerned about being ripped off, you are a easy target for the criminal mind.

I will back Kev up 100%. I've ordered mine from him. Unlike you I HAVE his home address and bank details if it goes wrong.

Before you post something about someone else, I think you should look up INTERNET SECURITY at your leasure.

I tried and failed to sell a item on here because of people like you who are quick to express you concerns, before you have thought it through....

As you say, this is a community...

Maybe before posting something you have no evidence on, you might think this over.

I don't want to fall out with you about this, I just don't like to see people being made out to be something they are not.

I maybe wrong about Kev, but all my evidence points to a solid seller.

I will eat my hat if I'm wrong... LOL

Thanks

P.S

Got a e-mail with tracking details etc for my pod earlier today....

Thanks Kev...

I will back Kev up 100%.
Good thats all we ask for

Before you post something about someone else, I think you should look up INTERNET SECURITY at your leasure.
I haven't posted ANYTHING about ANYONE - just saying that we have little comeback and perhaps people should hold off until we have a confirmed delivery. Note, HOLD OFF, not cancel.

Maybe before posting something you have no evidence on,
I don't need no evidence because I'm making no claim. I'm simply pointing out facts:

Fact 1. We have no address
Fact 2. We know of no premises
Fact 3. We have only hotmail accounts
Fact 4. We have no way of identifying this person
Fact 5. We have no website

Considering all these there is a degree of risk. That degree of risk will be 100% gone when my order, which I also have a tracking number for, arrives as I expect 99.9% that it will

I maybe wrong about Kev, but all my evidence points to a solid seller.
Good, that's what we all want to hear. As I said, I'll be putting my reputation on the line (lol, not that I have one) in recommending the guy as soon as I'm satisfied with my package.

All I'm saying is that there is more risk here than in buying from a well known website. I'm not saying people should cancel or making any attack on Kev, Robbie or Kevs company. I'm just saying that its best to go on word of mouth so lets wait until a well know community member (such as myself) gives the green light
