Newage Impreza REMAP Groupbuy
Okay here we go. I have been in contact with Zak at Mocom racing (based in Essex) about the possibility of a group buy on remapping. This is the fantastic offer he has come up with.
This Group buy is for all newage Imprezas (MY01 onwards) and will run thoughout December '06.
We need a minimum of 10 confirmed bookings to make this happen.
The group buy price for the remap is £399 inc. VAT
The remap will be expertly carried out by Zak at
Each customer will be supplied with a DeltaDash Road Dyno plot both before and after so you can see exactly where the improvements are rather than relying on the butt dyno.
A couple of notes.
It is suggested that the spark plugs should be a grade colder for boost raised above the standard levels, therefore Mocom Racing use Denso Iridium's which can be supplied and/or fitted at additional cost. Depending on other mods such as decat exhaust etc. an uprated fuel pump may also be required.
All cars should run well before the re-map, this shouldn't be seen as an opportunity to mask an existing problem in the hope it'll get rectified with a re-map,
if there's a problem please talk to Zak about it before hand and I am sure something can be sorted out.

This sounds good, If it came to it, if i paid for it in December could i have it done after that.
Just got so many bits to do before remap, not sure if the timing is gonna work

Is this their own remap/ecu or something like a Tek3 that could then be further adjusted as and when new bits are bolted to the car?

Until now re-mapping of the Subaru ECU has been reserved for those fortunate enough to have access to EcuTek's Flash software, however recent developments have seen a number of alternative applications enter the market providing full access to those maps required to optimise your cars current state of tune. Optimisation of the Subaru ECU ensures complete reliability with no idle or cold start issues, as can be experienced with some aftermarket ECUs, and with compensation maps for gear dependant boost control ensures no further requirement, or expense, for aftermarket boost controllers.
What this means for us is that we don't have to support EcuTek in way of a license for each and every ECU we unlock and more importantly we can pass this onto you in a saving of over £100 for a comparable product.
For just £450 you will receive:-
an evaluation of your vehicles current performance including acceleration times and a plot of wheel horse power (WHP)and torque output in it's current state of tune.
Professional re-mapping of your Subaru ECU ensuring all relevent maps are optimsed for your modifications
A plot of WHP, torque output and acceleration times post re-map.
We can re-map any ECU fitted to all Impreza, Forester and Legacy turbocharged models post 2001 including the very latest in drive by wire (DBW) technology as found on the 2006 model Subaru. He will listen to your engine with a proper set of det cans, monitor your boost with a separate gauge and will monitor your AFRs with a wideband lambda...
This will be done, before, during and after he makes any changes to your cars map.
If anyone has any worries at all i seriously recomend you calling him, he's very knoledgable and easy to talk to. Having confidence in the person mapping your pride and joy is very important imo..
Go for it guys.. you will not be disapponted
he is also very good at answering stupid noob type questions with patience and in plain english - recommending next mods or putting you off things that you had heard about elsewhere because they are plain unnecessary

I'll prolly speak to him before I head down there for the remap cause there's a few things I want to do on my car and a bhp figure I'd like to achieve for total happiness

i know this is all speculation but i too have a my03 sti type uk rated at 265bhp. I have a scoobyclinic back box and uprated fuel pump & second cat removed. what bhp can i expect after a remap.
