Default BR DEVELOPMENTS Tek 3 Custom engine remap

I have been in touch with Branko at BR Developments and I have been authorised to organise a Tek3 remap group buy.
The remap will take place in either Richmond or Swindon. They can only be done on Saturdays and they will commence from the 23rd April onwards.

Standard BRD pricing:
Tek 3 £650 + vat
3-port boost solenoid valve (as and when required) – list price over £250 inc VAT

We need a minimum of 10 people for this group buy and then these prices will apply:

Group buy
Tek 3 £550 + vat
3 Port Solenoid = £150 inc vat and fitting (big saving!)

If the group grows beyond 15 people, the price will come down to £500+VAT for the TEK3 package.

Please note that this group buy will close on Saturday 12th February 2005 @ 22.00 hours and once this has happened the thread will be locked and no further applications for the group will be considered.

All questions re this group buy must be sent to me by e mail or private message. Most questions will probably be answered by doing a search in the forum archives.

Only members who have no previous TEK work on their cars done, qualify for this group. Those who already may have TEK1, TEK2 or TEK3 provided by another company cannot take part within the group, but should contact BR Developments directly if they would like to upgrade to their TEK3 package in order to benefit from specific upgrade pricing that already exists.

When you have signed up for the group buy I will need your detailed car specification including what fuel grade and brand you are running and what engine oil is being used. Once the group has been finalised (closed), all group members will need to pay a deposit of £300 towards the full group buy price of the package in order to be given firm dates for their visit. BR Developments will create the initial schedule and allocate dates for all group members. Once the group buy has been closed direct communication between group members and BR Developments to finalise the booking dates, locations, etc. can take place rather than with me as the group organiser.

TEK3 package can be applied to all Impreza and Forester turbo engines from MY99 onwards. Please look through forum archives and you will see that Bob Rawle and BR Developments have a very good reputation. I myself will be having my car remapped within this group as well.

Could all interested people please e-mail me (andy@mckelvie.free-online.co.uk) the following information:
- Name
- Address, e-mail & contact number
- car details (model, spec & current mods)
- have you got a knock link and boost gauge?
- what fuel and engine oil you are using

Look forward to hearing from you all

Andy

Question

Andy,

I have had a look on BR developments website but cannot see any quoted BHP figures for a TEK3 mapping on a standard 2004 STI. I would like to achieve around about 330bhp no doubt this would need other mods (exhaust, fuel pump, decat etc.) and would prefer it to be done at one place.

Is this possible?

Thanks for the information. Did you fit the fuel pump at the last minute as I have heard that upgrading the fuel pump without being mapped has a detrimental effect on performance ? Did you ever just run the car on optimax after the mapping, or would that have caused problems?

332bhp/300lbs! I bet that flew! Did you ever have any reliability issues though?

Always ran the car on optimax + ob once you have fitted the bits you are better just driving the car normal and not to the limit until mapped and there were no issues with problems.

I had the ppp fitted but the boost just dont hold and for me was a waist of money.

The car held 1.5 bar in 6th gear too

R.B

The total cost was about the same has the ppp.
