Thumbs up Group Buy - Fog Lamp Covers MY99-00

Thought I'd start a new thread now as I have some concrete information regarding these.

Fog Lamps covers for the MY99-00 Classics that have the retaining screw to stop them popping out when you drive over the nearest pot-hole.

Cost delivered is £78.73 from Jap Innovations, although painting is required and stickers if you want them (scoobyparts.com do those quite cheap). There are many other covers available much cheaper but none of them are the screw in variety that are supplied a la STI.

We need at least 10 for this to be a go-er.

Covers for the earlier classic also available but again - 10 buyers will be needed.

These fit over the existing foglamps and fixing brackets etc are included.

Give your car the look of an STi and protect your fog lamps from damage at the same time with these tough plastic fog lamp covers. Made from GRP they are supplied unpainted and can be colour coded to match your car. Can be fitted and removed in a matter of seconds. STi stickers available separately.

Please note that the price as listed on the website is out of date.

Copy & Paste your name onto the list.

1. Messiah. MY99-00.

Would recommend ones with the screw fixing......rest assured the smallest of pot holes may dislodge them .......... I should know it happened to me.

Will keep a check on the thread and if we manage to get 10 people ill chuck my name on the list.

Out of interest even at the normal price are Jap Innovations still the cheapest for these covers? (just incase grp buy falls thru)

Been on scoobyparts myself - they're not the screw in type unfortunately.

If you could post a link to where they are on ets-racing's site it would be useful - I have seen the covers on there that have a little notch for a screw to go but you'd have to drill it yourself and then either buy or make up your own fitting kit.

Saving about £6 over buying them individually - not a lot I know but JI tell me they only make a £10 profit on each set they sell...

no offence but once again a group buy which doesn't offer much, £78 for light covers unpainted!

thats £780 for the ten, unpainted, (imo £10 for delivery is a bit much)
DRM £850 for ten but Painted + they are ABS Plastic

I think you will find they are not the ones you pictured but the ones with the 3 clips that people are not wanting .

Missleading with the 2 pics. have a look at the one beside the pic you posted.

I emailed JI about their covers to ask if the photo's were the type they sold and not a "For Illustrations Purposes" job - the told me that the ones on the website are what they sell - and yes - Paint & Fit.

Dazza - no, they won't fit over PIAA's and don't think anyone does a set that do either.

I don't have any covers yet - If I did, I wouldn't be trying to organise a GB...

I think it's pretty obvious there's not gonna be 10 takers for these so will probably knock this on the head shortly. I know £6 isn't much of a saving but it's better than nothing...
