Default Guaging Interest - MY99/00 Fog Lamp Covers.

Ray Li and myself are on the lookout for a set of Fog Lamp Covers for the later Classic - particularly the type that has the fixing screw.

After a bit of searching the cheapest I found were from Jap Innovations for £68.15 plus delivery - if anyone can suggest other suppliers please let us know.

As a guide - it's hoped we could get a set delivered for £60 or better, but obviously the more numbers the more bargaining power it provides.

Anyone else interested?

Hi.

I'm interested. I was just about to order them from Jap Innovations
They're made by MRT, and also include the mounting brackets.

Anyone know what the ETS ones are like? Certainly the cheapest but don't look like the screw in type to me.

Ordered a set of splash guards from ets a few days ago, will wait and see what the quality is like as they're made from fibre glass too.

Hi.

£84.60 seems a bit pricey... Does it cost that much for p/p (£16.45)?

The ones from Jap Innovations looked good, as they are made by MRT, and seem like good quality. But if it costs that much to ship, maybe it's worth checking what the ETS Racing ones are like. They really cheap, and include free shipping in the UK.

Could also be interested in this. Had looked for suppliers before and found these as they colour code them for you. They look the same although I see they are made from a different material.

DR Motorsport

Anyone approached them for a GB price ?? Just thought it will save additional painting costs... [ unless people are planning on doing them themselves of course ]

Hi.

So is the group buy price from Jap Innovations £57+VAT (£66.98) for the covers and £10+VAT (£11.75) for the shipping?

I'm a bit confused, as on their site the have it listed as £68.15 including VAT, which means that the GB price is nearly the same. Or is the price on their website not the correct one?

this is that they said.

"We don’t make a lot of money on these, so the amount of discount we can
offer is minimal. "

I had the same email Ray. £78.73 all in. not painted.

I doubt we could a discount on painting unless everyone wanted the same colour - I know Ray has a DBM like me but I doubt everyone else has too!

Hi.

I've also been in contact with Jap Innovations (as i was planning to buy directly fom them before this GB. The price in the website is not correct, as they are updating it.

I'll have to confirm my interest in this GB, as I'm trying to get a shipping quote for pickup from a courier service. I live in Portugal, and the courier Jap Innovations uses has some really high prices for international deliveries.

Cheers,

Paulo

i don't think you can go wrong with the DRM ones, they are professionally painted so basically just fit them.

Good news

I have been in touch with Simon from STI RACING (supplier of many GB's) and he is now looking up prices for replica and real STI Fog Lamp Covers.

He has been away for a while so we are gonna try and rebuild his reputation on SN as a top scooby parts supplier.

I did - but they're not the screw in type. Too many theiving toerags around my neck of the woods for my liking, otherwise the clip on type would do me fine.

Ray - I emailed Simon Lau too and he said he's already replied to you. The attached pic looks almost identical to those from ets-racing.

I'll have another trawl around and see who else can supply them...

Exactly what happened to me after only 3 months, hit a pot hole small one mind you but still managed to dislodge it and ran over and cracked it.

Silly question but will these fit if you have fogs in.....i say this because Richiewong took his cover off to show the bracket and he had no fogs.

When I looked at them on japanparts.com - it said that they fit over the standard lamps, but those were the real "sti" deal and the cost was £111.

OK I've emailed Jap Innovations to confirm that the covers will fit over the existing foglamps & that fixings are included.

Price is going to be £78.73 and we need at least 10 for this to be a go-er.

This is for the MY99-00 type, covers for the older cars are available slightly cheaper, but again 10 buyers will be required.
