Talking Carbon fibre bonnets

The guy that makes the carbon fibre skoops in the GB is also making a bonnet for us. I have no price at the mo but I guarantee the quality to be top notch.

He is the guy that builds all the carbon bits for HARRIS (bikers will know this name)

Anyway would you like a std bonnet with no scoops in just the holes so you can fit your own scoops or would you want em with all the scoops moulded in?

Or a bonnet with just an intercooler scoop moulded in ?

Or a bonnet with no scoops just a vent at the front ( for those with front mounts )
He is laying one up at the mo with all scoops moulded in and will let me know of a rough price when this is done

I could be interested in a bonnet which is the same as OE (my00 classic) so that I could fit the OE scoop and vents. (Where can you get replacement carbon vents, as I have seen a carbon scoop??) All price dependant mind!

Just want the standard look but with a lovely carbon finish!

I'll be after one with no scoop, just the vent at the front!

Could he do one with a GTi-R bonnet bulge near the front to allow for turning around the Inlet manifold ( to fit to a Lateral FMIC!)?

I tried this a wee while ago, I would be interested price dependant, as I believe would Telboy, who showed good interest in the last GB attempt.

Adam

Wet laid. Quality reallt is very good. All the standard bits like washer jets etc just clip straight on.

There is a seperate group buy going on for skoops (in the group buy section somewhere).

I am already enquiring into getting bumpers, wings and boot lids in carbon.

Stuart

as you say stu quality looks excellent but don't price yourself out of the market, imo you should offer more of a discount on the group buy as a saving of £26 isn't much,

i to really like the look of this bonnet and quality looks excellent but also agree that a £26 saving really isnt that much of a saving.

I am VERY interested in one of these as the quality I have been told is first class!

BUT, £26 is not enough of a group discount to warrant getting one right now!

WE NEED A BETTER PRICE!!!

www.sgbodyworx.co.uk do the 98-01 Carbon bonnet minus the scoops for £375 delivered (if you speak nicely to them) The bonnet has been around for ages with loads of pleased buyers!

no point in this group buy unless you can do better!???

£375 is a little cheap!

Stuart, how come its so much? Is it because its the first time you are doing bonnets so dont get much of a discount yourself?

I can get Seibon carbon bonnets for around £495 and the quality is spot on. And yep that includes vat

Money, I get them direct from the manufacturer, and I am not adding much for myself. Yes these are the first to be made and the price may drop with a larger order. These literally are an exact copy of the Subaru bonnet, right down to all the mounting holes for the washers and pipework, it even has the arrow pointing to the bonnet stay hole. Apparently it takes 10.5 hours labour to make them. I guess we could get corneres cut and save time by not driiling out the holes for the washers and pipework etc. but I would rather supply them ready to bolt on. It only took about 20 minutes to fit everyting and that was with me stopping them to take pictures.
