Other than the obvious of plugs, camshaft belt, oil etc, what actually needs doing at a 45K service?
The reason I ask, is that the local Subaru garage wants over £200, while the local "Quicky" type garage wants about £85. (Both prices exclude cambelts, which I can get done separately)

 

I don't think they do the plugs at the 45k.

If you are having the cambelt fitted somewhere else, what is the point in having the remainder done at a Subaru dealer ?

IMHO you either do it all at the dealer or all elsewhere

(ps £370 inc cambelt + vat around here)

The "Quicky" shop won't do the cambelts but do a good service.
The place I can get the cambelts done, is a import specialist who will do the belts, however, they have quoted a higher price for the service. What I want to know, is there anything that the "Quicky" shop won't do?

Anyone know?

 

...what's required is a load of money and a big wallett as the cam belt needs changing!

 

p.s. over 600quid over this way...! :O

 

Tell Tiley that Fenny Compton Banbury do it for £370 and see if they drop from £600 !
