back to standard tmic and airbox?.classic
i've got a v5 sti wagon, i bought it with a hid or hdi {not sure} fmic and k and n induction kit on it.
i got it mapped when i bought it and it only made 309 bhp on a tdo5.
i dont really like the noise of the induction kit but cant fit standard box because of front mount pipes. so i was thinking of selling my fmic and induction and fitting a newage intercooler and standard air box.
ive searched and found that upto 350bhp on standard box and same for tmic.
questions are do you think this is a good idea and also will i need to get it mapped again ££££££?
also i'd prefer a lower spooling turbo as i live in london and mine spools quite late. i had a newage with decatted td04 and that was great but ran out of puff.
its a simtec ecu, i think pfr6 plugs and standard coil and lead units,are these holding it back?
