03 blob STI into classic....
I know this has all been covered before but I always struggle to find what I'm after lol
Without going into loads of detail etc could I swap my running gear, 6 speed, shafts, rear diff, prop, hubs and brakes into an early classic WRX?
Also if I use my engine is it possible to drop my motor in with the avcs heads and just use my full blob wiring loom to run it using my current ecu? I know I would somehow need to use my clocks but can't think of another reason why this wouldn't work?
Cheers
Mick

Cheers fellas.
I'm seriously considering it for something to do lol.
Just don't want to have to fork out for aftermarket ecu etc and have the costs shoot up.
I want a totally standard early WRX although would have to use oe newage STI wheels to cover the brakes.

Can't use your prop shaft, IIRC. Stand to be corrected though.
Why not got the whole hog, and swap the dash etc? Keep the classic seats though. Actually, you might need to, to an extent. Speedo on an early car is cable driven, it's not on yours or a late classic.
