Default Clutch judder?

Evening all,

Seem to have a bit of an issue with the clutch on my '03 WRX wagon.

Gear changes up are fine, no slip, even on a hard launch. But when changing down I'm getting quite a judder in all gears (5th to 4th, 4th to 3rd and 3rd to 2nd). The judder is almost like when if you slow to a stop without dipping the clutch.

The clutch was replaced by the previous owner a few thousand miles ago but I have no idea what else was done i.e. release bearing etc.

Any ideas what the issue could be?

Cheers.

Had same problem on my 00 after fitting a new clutch.
Removed new clutch and found was a faulty clutch
had high spots on pressure plate

Launch, as in 4000 rpm and sidestep the clutch? Or more like try and create some slip to bed in the plate?

Cheers
