Default v5 power steering problem

so my car has been sat in mattyb`s garage for 6 mths while we worked on it .

we started it up and no powering .

drained fliud was black flushed with new then topped up with new and still no power steering on idle .

if the engine revs over 2500 to 3000 + it works then when you stop or the revs get low you loose it ..

new pump is £200 or a second hand one

Is the belt tight. When you ran it did you have the top off of the pump and turned the wheel from side to side?

is it squeaking when you turn the wheel when stationary? as above belt may be loose. if not, you have already obviously checked the fluid so its a new pump probably

Sounds like it's either not bled properly or the pump is goosed
