Default Which castrol syntrax?

I'm trying to improve my gearshift...I've read that using castrol syntrax could improve matters.
Great...but which version?? There's universal which I think is semi synthetic and the full synthetic versions
My gx has the hi/lo ratio box if that makes any difference and it's done 75k miles

It might just need a change of fluid,it does need doing annualy really. On my wrx with 5mt I just use 75w90 semi synthetic from local car parts shop, comma or simular brand. Box changes gears fine, even into 1st without stopping.

Castrol Syntrax was re-named Universal a few years ago! It's a semi-synthetic 75/90 and works well in Subaru boxes.
Changing the fluid annually is a bit over the top. Change period is usually 30,000miles but most will do it a bit more frequently than that.

It might not say change annually in manual but if you want to keep smooth changes I'd change it. Its good to keep it clean from all the fragments that wear down too. It costs about Ł30 for oil and is a doddle to change

Just to say that I should have said 'Driveline' instead of 'Universal'
