Default Running issue

Be swapped inlet manifolds this weekend as I needed to change the inlet hose for a silicon one. The car starts but will not idle and sounds terrible . Any ideas?

Should say running issue lol

Maf is still connected up to the air filter , as it was before. Orange sticker facing towards the back of the car

yes mine packed up the day before i got my car mapped once. it will rev very high and sometimes not idle and cut out.
i dont know the classic set up but on the newage cars it has a rubber gasket that once removed will never go back in correctly as it has stretcehd through the heat etc and this needs replacing everytime as it causes an air leak and irratic idling

It's a normal gasket on the classic's, all looked fine when I took it off from one manifold to another. I'm drying off and warming up for a bit lol.

Thanks Tubbs. I also noticed for whatever reason both the Oil Pressure and Temp gauges were flashing as if not connected up correctly. Could a bad earth be responsible for both?

Thanks Tubbs, just went out and checked the ICV and found one of the bolts was only pinch tight. Did that up tight and it idles better.

Only thing is I can now hear the wiseco's slapping away

Were the pistons noisey before?

You really need to get it mapped, even a running in map on it.

Yeah they were. I took it up to see Simon a couple of weeks ago, the day before I managed to split the breather at the back of the standard inlet hose. i bodged it up and Simon looked at it before he even did a thing and advised against mapping it like that. Hence the need to change for a silicon inlet hose.

Once Simon's on the mend we'll arrange it again.
